These four songs are heard in the various versions of Splash Mountain at different Disney theme parks. I’ve based this arrangement on the original at Disneyland in Anaheim, which uses an orchestral score (as opposed to the country-flavored approach heard in Walt Disney World’s version). The songs are: How Do You Do Ev’rybody Has a Laughing Place Burrows Lament Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah All of these are based on music from the 1946 film “Song of the South.” Please forgive my mistakes…I have a rather more difficult time with these than with some of the other pieces I play. I’m no virtuoso. =PI do appreciate critiques and comments (and ratings), though! Thanks, and enjoy. The photo in the background was taken by me, and can be viewed at: flickr.com

Enjoy!
Watch the complete version of this song by clicking here: www.youtube.com And if you like what you see, PLEASE *subscribe* Since I posted my cover of the Sara Bareilles song “Bottle It Up” a few weeks ago, I’ve been getting a lot of messages and comments asking for sheet music. I play by ear, so I don’t have them… I figured the next best thing would be a tutorial to teach you how I played my version of the song. If you do learn this song by watching this video, please post a video response either to this video or my original version (see link above) so I can see how it came out! THANKS!! This is a tutorial on how to play the main theme of the song “Hospital Beds” by Cold War Kids on piano. This song is on their Robbers and Cowards CD. Good luck, and please comment if you have any questions on how to play this. The keyboard used is a Yamaha PSR500. Fun Fact: Prior to making this video I picked the song up by ear in less than 10 minutes… *Edit…I now realize that I had made a small mistake in the phrasing of the right hand part…nevertheless it still sounds how it should… 08-04-2009: 1000 views 09-27-2009: 2000 views 11-13-2009: 3000 views

I finally came to my senses and realized that it made so much more sense to tell people how to play by ear instead of giving them a tutorial for every song that i play. And for all you play-by-ear pianists out there, if someone asks for a piano tutorial for something that you learned, than you can just direct them to this video The song is, as mentioned in the video, “Still Alive” from the game Portal by Valve, which is, BTW, incredibly awesome!
